Job Description
Administer central register of Underwriting manuals, guideline and Risk Acceptance Authority and Underwriting breaches
Monitor overall pricing adequacy
Support the Monitoring, analysis and review to improve results
Optimize Underwriting productivity and efficiency through technology and enhanced workflow for referrals
Represent the company to liaise with relevant authorities eg. MOM
Administer Group Underwriting Policies and Guidelines, including liaising with MA/HO, the establishment of procedures, control mechanisms, monitoring and reporting
Conduct underwriting audit of BUs, Underwriting and Reinsurance workshop, training sessions
Support management of Service Providers through liaising with relevant SPCs
Support compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (PPF, IFRS17)
Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification and/or insurance professional qualifications
General Insurance Underwriting/ Audit Underwriting
At least 8 years of Underwriting experience in general insurance operations
General insurance market and regulatory requirements
Leadership qualities with emphasis on business transformation, performance achievement and strategic vision
Experience in conducting Underwriting Audits
Good Training and mentoring skills
Portfolio management techniques
Knowledge in insurance products and reinsurance
Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
