JOB DESCRIPTION
a. Member of the Crude Oil & Petroleum Product Trading team with own trading responsibilities which includes close interactions/communication with the Japanese terminals and top Japanese trading houses;
b. Formulating the trading strategies for Fuel oil and Petroleum trading for top Management approval and to execute the same in consultation with team members in Tokyo;
c. Supervise the fuel oil blending and inventory control operations for the trades done;
d. Execution of cargo trading and hedging activities/strategies for trades done;
e. Manage Chartering requirements and strategies;
f. Arranging best cover for cargo/marine insurance; and,
g. Able to consider the implication of the legal issues in commodities trading, chartering, derivative instruments as well as cargo/marine insurance.
REQUIREMENTS
a. A good degree from a top University;
b. The Official Business Skill Test in Book-keeping, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry*: minimum 2nd Grade;
c. Not less that 10 years experience including fueloil / cargo / operational experience and financial aspects of trading including derivatives strategies and management.
d. Fluent in written and spoken both for English and Japanese language;
e. Good understanding of the Japanese Fueloil & Petroleum trading environment; and,
f. Team player
