Responsibilities:
As a Montessori Guide, you will be responsible for creating an encouraging and nurturing environment for toddlers from 15 months to children aged 6+ years. Your primary duties will include:
- Fostering a warm and welcoming connection with children during care moments (mealtimes, toileting/ diapering, transitions), gym play and work cycle
- Engaging the children with accurate and precise spoken word, to create a language-rich environment that feeds the children’s absorbent mind that is sensitive to language
- Observing children's capabilities to plan and present developmentally appropriate work that suits the child's current needs and interests
- Continuously reflecting, evaluating and evolving teaching practices based on the Montessori pedagogy to support children's growth and learning
Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of Montessori principles and practices, and is open to continue learning in this regard.
- Previous experience working with children in a Montessori environment preferred
- Montessori environment teaching OR certification (AMI, AMS or similar) will be advantageous
- Candidates with experience in Montessori teaching and no Montessori teaching certificate may be sponsored for courses.
