Job Description
- Review Trade/Deal confirmation and/or Contract Terms / Drafting.
- Ensure that scheduling and day-to-day Cargo and Vessel operations are running smoothly and that any problems are flagged at an early stage to minimize costs, during Pre, In & Post Voyage.
- Managing movements (including shipping operations) from supply to delivery point in an operationally excellent and optimal manner, looking for value add opportunities and preventing unnecessary downtime/demurrage, costs incurred.
- Execute all obligations arising from the contract and charter party flawlessly, in accordance with governmental and industrial regulations.
- Maintain regular communication with external parties, including contractual counterparties, terminal operators, vessel owners/brokers, shipping agents, etc., to ensure products are loaded and discharged on time.
- Coordinate with Suppliers and Buyers on the required documents after the shipment has been completed to ensure all documents are issued accurately and on time.
- Resolving settlement issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for counterchecking shipping documents, preparing document instructions, agent and surveyor appointments, and payment processing.
- Monitoring and updating operations data on a timely basis.
Job Requirement
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Logistics/ Shipping, Maritime Studies, Nautical Studies or equivalent.
- 3-5 years' experience working in an oil commodity trading operation type environment is required for this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Self-starter who demonstrate ability or previous experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams, in a dynamic small organization.
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation and cargo/shipping operations
- To communicate with counterparties in Vietnam, Vietnamese language is essential.
