Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end process of invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement for Coal, LNG, and Freight trading activities (Accounts Payable/Receivable).
- Proactively and promptly resolve discrepancies in invoice reconciliation.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the timely collection of cash and generating aging reports.
- Collaborate with the operations team to clear overdue items in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as non-allocated cash.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements related to settlements processes.
- Keep Settlements team Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation updated.
- Ensure trading standards are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Verify and ensure the correct tax treatment of invoices.
Requirements
- Possess minimum 2 years of Settlements experience preferably in the Commodity Industry
- At least a Diploma in Accounting or equivalent professional degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Candidates with knowledge of IMOS, Horizon and SUN system will have an added advantage
