Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead, and manage payroll personnel
- Stay abreast of and comprehend new payroll-related legislation
- Manage the entire spectrum of payroll functions for a workforce, encompassing monthly payroll processing, overtime calculations, bonus distributions, bank transfers, CPF submissions, IR21 and IR8A submissions, etc., and rectify any payroll discrepancies
- Ensure payroll tasks are executed accurately and promptly
- Generate monthly payroll journals, reports, salary reconciliations, and other periodic payroll reports
- Guarantee compliance of payroll disbursements with local statutory regulations and company policies
- Timely submission of IR8A, IR21 tax clearances, government claims, NS make-up claims, etc.
- Create payroll data and templates for annual budgeting and forecasting
- Participate in evaluating, testing, and rolling out HRIS upgrades, integrations, and process enhancements
- Manage workload allocation for the payroll team to meet deadlines
- Review and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Monitor the accurate processing of employee appointments, transfers, promotions, and terminations
- Assist in coordinating annual increment and bonus exercises
- Collaborate with HR to validate payroll data
- Offer guidance and assistance to employees on payroll-related inquiries
- Review and update payroll policies and procedures as needed
- Supervise the preparation of payroll-related documentation
- Arrange and maintain current employee data systems
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for maintaining payroll information and records, and support internal and external audits
- Assist with auditor inquiries, forms, government surveys, etc., pertaining to payroll matters
- Conduct performance evaluations of payroll staff to foster team development.
Requirements:
- Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree with 5 years of experience in payroll.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, adaptable to engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Effective time management abilities and the capacity to delegate task.
