Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager to perform in-depth study of the projects and to provide constructive suggestions and solutions on the planned methodologies for the projects.
- Assist the Project Manager to prepare proposals and method statements for various construction methods to be adopted in the projects.
- Prepare good quality technical drawings, e.g. Kinematics Drawings, Working Drawings in 2D, 3D form for:
- Presentations to the client, and
- Facilitating the site operations
- To lead young engineers and draftspersons to prepare methods and technical drawings.
- Attend project technical meeting / discussion with contractors, consultants as and when requested by the project team.
- Provide good materials (drawings, sketches) and ideas for infrastructures tender team to prepare for tender.
- Prepare checklists for critical activities with reference to the methods proposed, e.g. Self-launching of LG to the following span, etc.
- Present at the site on a part-time basis, as and when necessary to support the project team on methods related matters.
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum 10 years experience in Bridge/Viaduct constructions, particularly in precast segmental construction using various types of erection equipment, e.g. launching gantry, lifter, overhead gantry, etc.
- Proficient in the use of engineering drawings software, e.g. AutoCAD Inventor (or equivalent); 3D modelling and design software, e.g. Google SketchUp (or equivalent), etc.
