ABOUT OUR CONTROLLERS DIVISION
The mission of Controllers is to ensure that the firm meets the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. As part of the firm’s 2nd line of defense, Controllers provides the critical analysis required while ensuring the internal and external financial information of the firm is accurate. Additionally, Controllers serves an important role in safeguarding the assets of the firm through the independent scrutiny of the financial information. Through its strong culture of control and challenge, Controllers helps to protect the firm from reputational and other risks while also engaging regularly with the firm’s regulators and auditors.
YOUR IMPACT AND HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
The primary mission of Controllers is to ensure that the firm meets the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. The Controllers team is responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting functions for the firm’s various subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance and proper risk management of tax obligations.
· Ensure that control standards are maintained and documented.
· Work closely with other areas within Controllers, both in Singapore and globally, as well as with other divisions.
· Participate in cross-divisional projects for new business initiatives.
· Coordinate with relevant departments and regional offices for local requirements.
· Develop a broad understanding of the securities business and financial products.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Graduating from August 2023 to July 2024* with a Bachelor or Master Degree
· Japanese language skills (spoken and written) required to interact with Japanese speaking colleagues and clients
· No full time work experience (excluding internship experience)
· Interest and passionate in working in financial industry
· Ability to work in a dynamic global environment with a focus on teamwork
· Impeccable attention to detail and excellent problem solving and analytical skills
