Yamal Trade Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Yamal LNG Joint Venture, is a company incorporated in Singapore which business is linked to Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) produced in Yamal Peninsula (Russia).
Yamal Trade (YT) is looking for a Shipping Commercial Analyst to join its Shipping Team. Yamal Trade is holding long term Time Charters to service its pioneering Arctic LNG project. The LNG Chartered fleet is composed of 26 LNG vessels. The position is based in Singapore.
This is a great opportunity to be part of the dynamic shipping team in our Singapore office, where the core commercial activities happen. The candidate is expected to gain commercial acumen quickly to be an active contributor of the business.
The appointee will be involved in LNG Cargo complete logistics: loading, maritime transport, potential rescheduling/reloading at transshipment point, discharge and reconciliation with Buyer.
This role will interact primarily with the Shipping team located in Moscow and Singapore. The context is one of efficient and reliable business process relative to the LNG cargo documentation from Yamal LNG plant at Sabetta, Russian Federation to the end Buyers Worldwide.
Role Objectives
To provide analytical expertise to our Shipping and other commercial teams in Yamal Trade.
Responsibilities
- Develop and run Economic modelling related to shipping scenarios;
- Analytical support to all chartering/shipping activities of Yamal Trade;
- Voyage economics modelling in cooperation with ADP and Commercial teams;
- Assist the Shipping team in selecting vessels and drafting and negotiating charters (spot and term) to support Yamal Trade’s shipping demand;
- Develop and maintain working relationship with key external stakeholders - owners and shipbrokers regarding vessel types performance and economics;
- Co-operation with other teams within Yamal Trade and Yamal LNG (ADP, Commercial and Finance teams)
- Other responsibilities as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Maritime/Business or equivalent qualification
- Office-based experience in Chartering, Shipping Operations or Research with an oil major, a trading house, independent shipowner or shipbroker;
- Commercial mindset and strong analytic skills;
- Good understanding of the shipping industry, its contractual framework and the network of key stakeholders;
- Good English written & communication skills
- Good time management and able to prioritize tasks
- Problem solver and keen interest to learn new knowledge on the industry/cargo/shipping
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Able to work outside office hours if necessary
