Job Description
1. Able to be a farmer and a hunter for the modern trade business
2. High EQ and communications skills, able to close deals with Modern Trade Customers
3. Analyse sales numbers and retail space to spot the gaps in the market and fill in to boost revenue
4. Chart product roadmaps, marketing programs to grow the modern trade business segment
5. Farm the key accounts to grow the business via new product lines or pricing policy
6. Management reporting: Consolidation, reporting and presentation of business performance to ensure that budget/forecast are achieved.
7. Follow up with active review of business lines performance to flag out key issues, promote accountability and drive actionable opportunities or corrective actions.
8. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business issues and support commercial needs.
9. Communicate insights driven, strategic recommendations to the management on KPIs and performance.
10. Strategic projects : Business modelling based on strategic direction to calculate impact/investment
11. Analysis and tracking of projects to ensure on track in schedule, Provide lens for sales to drive performing categories and correct non performance.
12. Perform data driven root cause analysis from high level down to individual SKUs to identify opportunities and key areas of improvements for timely resolution.
13. Work on budget and quarterly forecasts to ensure that assumptions are sound. Flagging out risks and opportunities and ensure alignment between commercial and finance.
Requirements
1. A good accounting/finance degree from a reputable tertiary institution
2.Prior track record of working in the accounting and finance industry but with further acute business acument and business development skills and track record
3. Hands on , never say die attitude; a Type A personality
