Reporting to the Head of Legal Department, the incumbent will support and oversee the administration of contracts from initial negotiation to completion of projects, including cost and budgetary controls, extension of time claims, procurement, variations and other contractual and legal matters.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support on contractual issues for new projects and on-going projects
- Initiate change orders, request procedure, prepare and coordinate any claims under the project. In the case of non-resolved disputes, work out change or claims amount and schedule impact, keeping all records and files related to these items
- Administer all contractual correspondences with client, sub-contractors and vendors
- Provide support in reviewing and drafting of contractual documentation and qualification notes
Requirements:
- Possesses at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Legal related or its equivalent discipline
- Preferably with at least 10 years’ working experiences in contracts administration and claims management in similar industry
- Possesses good negotiation skills and the ability to meet tight schedules/deadlines, with good planning and organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin to liaise with both our external and internal stakeholders from China and other countries
- Able to be relocated to China
