Purpose of the Job
- Lead the development of IT strategy and take overall ownership for the development and delivery of IT services to support business strategy priorities
- Establish and manage projects across multiple areas of the organisation through active leadership to deliver all activities within agreed constraints of time, cost and quality
- Manage Business/IT relationship
- Plan, direct and coordinate demand and supply planning
- Collate and prioritize IT demand from the business to create an ordered portfolio of projects and enhancements as per business strategy
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic IT Planning- Translate AET business strategy into IT strategy. Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization while ensuring maximum return on investment
- IT Leadership - Lead and manage the IT function. Take ownership of all IT solution delivery and services support activities
- IT Management – Lead and direct all the activities related to IT management – Supplier Management, Solution delivery, Management and Control, Security and Risk Management, IT Finance and IT Workforce Management
- Program & Project Management – Facilitate the delivery of projects while balancing priorities, scope, approach, deliverables, milestones , risks and detailed resource and work plans
- People Management - Provide management, coaching, leadership, development and direction to the solution delivery team
- Work Planning and Resource Management - Develop work plan to determine the required tasks and resources (process, functional, etc.) for complex projects spanning the entire organization
- Technology Trends - Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives on the management of their competitiveness through adoption of technology trends. Drive smarter technology investments in the organization
- Procedures and Standards - Direct the preparation, documentation, implementation and review of policies, procedures and standards for applications
- Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong partnerships with the business and application owners and other IT managers. Work with business management to identify and prioritise application support needs, issues and development projects.
- Application Development & Testing - Plan, oversee and manage global and/or regional software application selection and implementations to ensure minimal disruption to day-to-day business activities. Responsibilities include implementation and upgrade schedules, testing, stakeholder and change management, resourcing, communication, regional integration or specific functionality/use
- Supplier Relationship Management - Lead identification and appointment of relevant supplier contacts, oversee supplier compliance and escalate problems using standard escalation procedures. Maintain a relationship with the supply manager to manage effectively application and human resource scheduling.
- Demand planning and management. Project portfolio prioritization and strategic alignment. Customer relationship management.
- Manage IT capex and opex
- Capable of executing Crisis Management Responsibilities as required by role
- To comply with Company’s policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE)
Qualifications
- Education: Any Bachelor’s degree preferably Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline
Experience:
- 10+ years of management experience
- 12+ years of experience in Solution Delivery, Service Delivery
- 10+ years in business facing role
- Ability to translate business vision into IT vision, objectives and programs
- Strong knowledge of core IT (Infrastructure, Applications) , business processes and IT supplier community
- Experience in IT Budgeting
- Proven leadership and management skills
- 10+ years of experience in Demand Management
- 10+ years of experience in managing relationships with internal business customers
Specialized knowledge:
- Knowledge of tanker industry
- Knowledge of business functions and processes in a global company
- Strong program/project management skills
- Delivery skills in ERP preferably
- ITIL service management and service delivery, systems development lifecycle
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of current and future technologies along with their capacity to drive business
