About this role
This role is for a position of Horticulturist on behalf of another project construction and implementation team. You are required to have the following qualifications:
1. Degree/Diploma in the field or discipline of Botany, Horticulture or Arboriculture; or
2. WSQ Diploma in Landscape Management; or
3. NParks Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH); or
4. International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist (optional).
Scope of work and responsibilities
The scope of work and responsibilities for this role are:
5. To plan, lead, implement and manage a softscape planting programme within a site construction master programme to ensure a safe and successful completion of contract works.
6. To be able to correctly interpret landscape and/or softscape contract specifications, bills, and drawings, including the use of required computer software/apps.
7. To lead and manage the implementation of softscape planting works.
8. To source, procure, and ensure delivery of all required materials for the implementation of softscape works.
9. To supervise the successful implementation of all aspects of softscape and/or horticulture practices and procedures, including monitoring of softscape planting programme, minutes of meeting, site inspections, and progress claims.
10. To attend project progress and technical meetings, when required.
