Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory transactions in the accounting system.
- Calculate and monitor the Cost of Goods Sold for various product categories.
- Analyze COGS trends and provide insights for cost optimization.
- Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records regularly.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, documenting root causes and solutions.
- Analyze and report on stock movements, including transfers between locations and returns.
- Provide insights into the reasons for stock adjustments and movements.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operation teams to develop accurate inventory forecasts.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and explain variances between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted figures.
- Investigate and report on significant fluctuations in financial performance.
- Generate internal reports for management to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted and forecasted figures.
- Take charge the coordination of internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data.
- Involve in the implementation of ERP and POS Project
- Any ad-hoc duties assigned by Management
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years of working experience within F&B, Retail or E-commerce industry
- Strong Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Team player with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships and multitask in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and able to meet deadline for reporting
