Job Description
The Food & Beverage Division Account Manager is the face of the company for our customers and is responsible for the profitable growth of the field sales by building on existing customers and expanding opportunities through new business and innovation. Account Manager fosters strong customer relationships by providing personalized service and valuable expertise in cleaning and sanitation and delivering chemical and operational solutions to Food Manufacturing Establishment. They also have an appetite for growth and exploring new areas and opportunities to aggressively grow the business.
Business Planning and Account Prospecting
- Meet sales and profitability targets – Area and Division
- Analyse with manager business results, identify growth opportunities and action plans
- Manage Grow to Win funnel and acquisition plan
- Negotiate and close the deal and implement conversion and start-up plan
- Deploy new programs and initiatives
- Implement targeted price increases at designated customers
- Establish service call plan to meet service level agreement
Account Management
- Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels
- Service customers according to Service level agreement
- Optimise account profitability (e.g., equipment investment, flat fee management)
- Implement agreed corporate account commitments and proactively inform CAM of results, issues and initiatives
- Prepare and hold periodic business reviews with strategic customers
- Identify and monitor timely customers-at-risk, contract renewals and determine retention action plan with Manager
- Ensure collection of receivables to proactively prevent credit holds
Customer Value Delivery and Documentation
- Proactively identify, develop and implement solutions to improve results, customer service, and total cost
- Identify, quantify and communicate the Ecolab value provided
Safety:
- Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements
- Act as a safety champion at customers’ sites
Requirements:
- Preferably a university degree in Chemical Process Engineering, Food Science.
- At least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and integrity
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to sell value and solutions
- A positive, flexible and results-orientated attitude with capabilities to handle pressure
- Industry experience
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
- A positive, flexible and result- oriented attitude with capabilities to handle pressure
- Customer service orientation with consultative selling aptitude
- Technical understanding (e.g., electrical, mechanical)
- A valid Singapore Driver’s license
- Experience working with and knowledge of computers (e.g., MS Office suite)
