The Opportunity
The Managing Director reports into the Initiative President, APAC and is responsible for overseeing the Singapore office and managing all aspects of the local operations.
LEADERSHIP:
- Oversee the Singapore office, managing all aspects of the local operations
- Make Fame & Flow proposition understood and implemented for clients through adoption from the teams across Crafts and Teams
- Grow market share by implementing own style with rigour and by working closely with the Mediabrands Singapore CFO
- Collaborate with Initiative APAC President to ensure alignment and keep regional and global leadership apprised of opportunities and advancements
- Be an active member of the Singapore media scene through advocacy, active participation in awards and establishment of thought-leadership via proactive contribution to industry conferences and publications
CLIENT MANAGEMENT:
- Foster, stabilise and strengthen relationship with existing Global, Regional and Local clients
- Ensure excellence in client service across all clients
TALENT:
- Build a culture that is cohesive, collaborative and flexible
- Develop a great place to attract and retain the best talent in the market
- Continuously review internal structure of people and goals to ensure that it is aligned to market’s strategic goals
COMMERCIALS:
- Agree and approve annual agency business plans, including strategy and P&L, with APAC CEO and Business Units - set expectations in accordance with client requirements and agency goals
- Set financial performance targets for the teams; ensure delivery and profitability of annual plans for the agency
- Lead fee negotiations to ensure best aggregate pricing in the market
- Support the different business units to develop on-going and future facing strategy to drive growth
GROWTH:
- Convert clients on internationally aligned business into local relationships and develop new business with particular focus on major local clients
- Optimise growth opportunities through development of clients in focus categories
- Identify and implement new revenue models and services in compliance with client contracts
Ideally
- A strong and inspirational leader with a strong network of connections in market and a proven track record of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, colleagues vendors locally and internationally
- Vast experience in a media agency
- A driver of change; be future-facing, digitally savvy, and have made an impact on clients’ business in this space; be fearless about breaking new ground and resolving challenges
- Understands technology and strategy, the person must be on top of the evolving media landscape in market and the region
- Have a proven track record for driving top line growth through the new business agenda and unlocking organic growth amongst existing clients
- A galvanising and energetic leader with the natural ability to motivate and get best out of others with a history of building and motivating strong, successful teams
- Proven collaborator within a network, who can navigate and influence across complex teams and group structures
- Be a strategic and trusted client partner who is focused on adding business value for their clients
- Has highly developed commercial and business acumen with strong commercial and communication skills in English and with experience of running a business and having profit responsibility
