COMPANY DESCRIPTION
THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011.
THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors Community, and Therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Manager in administrative matters related to engaging with volunteers, volunteer coordinators and corporate partners/ volunteers.
- Manage and liaise with volunteers and partners to recruit, engage, and retain volunteers.
- Coordinate meetings with the volunteer coordinators, the Volunteer Management and Development Committee, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in coordinating training sessions for the Volunteer Management System.
- Be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all activities related to volunteer management.
- Manage resources and implement the volunteer programs within set budgets, funding mechanisms and timelines.
- Follow-up on volunteer enquiries from external sources and assist in volunteer recruitment from Services.
- Assist in the production of training videos for volunteers.
- Plan and manage publicity efforts for volunteer recruitment and engagement initiatives and programs.
- Monitor the KPI on volunteers and provide surveys to collect data and feedback from volunteers.
- Manage the volunteer database and prepare a timely progress report on statistics
- Ensure all volunteers information is captured, stored and managed in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act
- Provide support for in-house and external events/ programmes, for instance, roadshows and outreach activities
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- 1-2 years work experience in marketing, sales, events management, social service, or any other people positions that involve working with people.
- A tertiary degree related to the social sciences, social work, psychology, media, event/ marketing
