Job Description


1. Social Work-related duties:

  • To conduct intake for all clients seeking assistance from Community Services.
  • To refer clients to SW/CM after intake.
  • To prepare case files for clients and keep case files for discharged clients.
  • To support the social worker/case manager in intervention sessions, and conducting home and job-site visits.
  • To liaise with companies and clients/members for events / workshops, and employment support.
  • To assist in sourcing and developing resources for Deafblind programme.
  • To source and develop resources for online/physical training and workshops to benefit the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind community.
  • To support in outreach and raising awareness and any events or programmes organised by Community Services or SADeaf, as necessary.

2. Administrative-related duties:

  • To conduct reception duties by attending to calls, messages, visitors and emails.
  • To provide first response to all general enquiries and direct them to the respective department or staff-in-charge accordingly.
  • To process Client Card for clients.
  • To process payments made by clients.
  • To receive letters and couriers.
  • To handle media publicity content, and design social media and communication posts.
  • To do data entry and other administrative tasks.
  • To support the Senior Case Manager/Senior Social Worker in the administrative duties.

3. Any other lawful and reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.



Requirements:

- Minimum Diploma with 1-3 years of relevant working experience in the social service sector. Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.

- Preferably candidate with Diploma in community and social services (or any other equivalent or higher certification)

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience and background in working or volunteering with the Deaf community is an advantage

- Ideally with knowledge of Sign Language, preferably Singapore Sign Language (SgSL)

- Possess strong planning, organizational and analytical skills

- Tech-savvy, innovative, and meticulous; must be comfortable and proficient in working with digital tools (Microsoft office suite and Google Drive products).

- Able and willing to work on weekends, weeknights, holidays, and outside office hours, if needed.
