The Possible Class is a creative education provider that offers proprietary programmes for children and adults to empower the individuals to be more inventive, collaborative and always adopting a "possible" mindset. We are the exclusive partner of Finland’s Arkki (www.Arkki.sg) to deliver its award-winning architecture and creative programme in Singapore, targeting learners aged 7-19, with an extension to adults and corporate executives.
This is a freelance position.
The assisting teacher/coach will support TPC and the workshop lead coach to:-
- Prepare and setup the activity space ahead of the start of session.
- Facilitate, motivate and support learners during physical classroom sessions; nurturing their enthusiasm towards exploring the wonders of the environment and world around them by inquiring, ideating, hands-on experimenting, concept sharing and collaboration.
- Impart techniques and be able to guide students towards finding solutions to create their 3D models based on their designs.
- Ensure active learning with the emphasis on creativity, imagination, problem solving, confident expression and other essential social competencies.
- From time to time, support coaches to source, procure, prepare and pack the materials for the individual lessons and workshops, based on prescribed lesson needs or advance requests made by coaches. Keep track of the material stock and replenish supplies as and when required for classes.
- Assess and record student’s progress in a timely fashion and provide appropriate feedback to schools and/or parents.
Expectations
- Must be available for classes on Friday mornings and weekday afternoons (typically 2pm onwards).
- To be available to support class on Sundays, if required.
- Undergrads are welcome to apply if your school schedule fits for weekdays.
- Carry a can-do mindset, hands-on and go beyond the comfort zone to support the team.
- Diploma in architecture, creative or design-related fields or with the relevant experience.
- Good organisational skills.
- Able to think on your feet and manage change well.
