Job Title: Warehouse Operations Executive
Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Executive to oversee our warehouse operations during night shifts and provide flexibility to work on public holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse activities, including inventory management, logistics coordination, and team supervision. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse.
Implement inventory control measures to ensure accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.
Conduct regular stock checks and audits to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams to forecast inventory needs and prevent stockouts.
- Logistics Coordination:Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including loading and unloading of goods.
Schedule delivery routes and ensure timely dispatch of orders to customers.
Collaborate with transportation providers to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transportation costs.
Monitor the performance of logistics partners and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Team Supervision:Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse associates and forklift operators.
Provide training and guidance to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, and monitor productivity and performance.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among warehouse personnel.
- Quality Control:Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all warehouse activities.
Conduct regular inspections of goods received and stored in the warehouse to identify any quality issues.
Address any discrepancies or damages promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Health and Safety Compliance:Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
Implement safety protocols and provide training to warehouse staff on proper handling and storage techniques.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work night shifts and be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
