The Undergraduate Programmes Office (UPO) at Nanyang Business School (NBS) is responsible for the wide spectrum of activities covering Academic Services, Admissions & Assessment, Student Care, Development & Outreach) for NBS undergraduates.
This role is required to serve the academic arm of the UPO in the critical function of curriculum planning and operations of various academic programmes to enable a meaningful and hassle-free student experience for all our undergraduates.
Responsibilities:
- To lead the Curriculum Planning and Operations Team
- To plan the academic curriculum which includes course outline, catalogue and programme structure
- To liase with other departments to support students in the various programmes
- Administer exchange students’ course application and course matching matters
- Provide academic advisory and support to students
- Handle inbound students’ course requests, approvals and registration
- Maintain student records and pre-approved course lists
- Monitor and process change of Programme requests and credit transfers
- Evaluate students’ requests and administer recommendations
- Manage student academic appeals, withdrawals and change of programmes/specialisations
- Prepare required monthly or adhoc reports
- Plan briefings and meetup sessions with students; and coordinate engagements with students
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of working experience, preferably in the education sector
- Proficient in MS Office, knowledge of Advanced MS Excel will be advantageous
- Knowledge in student information/database management systems will be advantageous
- Excellent inter-personal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team to meet tight deadlines
- Organised and meticulous with attention to details
- Good time management with ability to multi-task
