Role Purpose
Reporting to the Risk and Insurance Manager, the Risk Executive will be responsible for executing the group’s ERM and regulatory compliance strategies across Swire Shipping’s global business and providing support to the Risk Manager in various risk related projects.
Role Accountabilities
Crisis Management
· Keep Crisis Management Manual up to date
· Ensure the readiness of relevant crisis response teams
· Develop and maintain a system that satisfies the requirements of a rapidly changing external environment, internal structure and group standards.
Business Continuity Management
· Keep BCPs up to date for all branches and functions globally
· Collaborate with businesses to ensure their alignment with the BCP
· Provide relevant guidance and training
Risk Register
· Support the development of a fully integrated process for compiling risk registers to identify key risks and mitigation strategies.
· Arrange regular risk register reviews and updates
· Monitor implementation of key risk mitigations
Counterparty risk and regulatory compliance
· Ensure that the business remains absolutely compliant with sanctions, AML, Anti-bribery and other relevant regulations
· Arrange regular training
· Manage KYC/KYP procedures and perform risk assessments
Safety
· Take responsibility for the safety of myself and those around me by displaying safety leadership principles (i.e. Safety I’s & Accountability ladder).
· Challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviours or unsafe conditions.
· Comply with the Global Safety Standards, Polices and Operating Procedures.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications
· Degree level in relevant discipline
· Min 7 years in Enterprise Risk Management or a relevant job with a financial or commercial background. Preferably in the maritime industry.
Technical Skills
· Experience in maintaining risk governance structures
· Experience in improving and embedding crisis management procedures and business continuity planning across a geographically spread business
Professional Skills
· Strong Communication skills at all levels
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to embed a risk-aware culture within the business units to deliver an improved risk-related performance
· Competent conflict management skills
· Strategic approach to problem-solving
· Awareness of day-to-day demands / challenges within operations

· Able to work independently, and under pressure to meet deadlines.
