The Lead Manager/Business Partnering will lead a team to provide strategic HR advice on employee matters, analyze metrics to improve work relationships and productivity and ensure compliance with relevant manpower regulations and policies.
Critical Work Functions
Plan HR and workforce strategy and organisation development
- Align HR strategies and plan to organisation’s current and future business strategies in consultation with business leaders
- Develop a service management framework, incorporating service quality standards, service level agreements, and service excellence metrics
- Advise unit leaders on implications of current and future workforce supply and demand
- Advise business partners on ways to address manpower shortfalls or surpluses
Develop and engage talent
- Collaborate with unit leaders and learning managers to focus on RC’s learning and development strategies and meet organisational requirements
- Liaise with unit leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior roles in line with organisation’s strategies and objectives
- Guide unit leaders to cascade KPIs and performance goals to their employees and communicate performance ratings
Discipline and conduct Exit Management
- Guide unit leaders to comply with legal obligations when dealing with voluntary exits
- Oversee and guide business partners in grievance handling, management of misconduct, involuntary exit decisions and alternatives in compliance with legal obligations
Analytics and insights
- Look across a series of data and anticipate implications on HR practice; Leverage on technology to effectively deliver quality HR services including benefits administration, database maintenance, training administration, reporting and analyses
- Recommend HR policies, practices or strategies that competitively position RC as an employer of choice
Relationships and communication
- Understand organisational and individual challenges, help the senior leaders to define the problem and identify root cause of the people related issues, providing resources to advise senior leaders to determine the appropriate course of action in people related matters
- Establish relationships with senior leaders to build trust and understand their needs
Develop Self and Others & Innovate for Greater Impact
- Provide coaching and guidance to subordinates
- Establish long-term objectives for the HR business partnering function that align with the strategy of the organisation
- Lead team to translate business strategy into annual performance goals and departmental objectives
Job Holder Requirements
- A good tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related field
- 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a Team Lead role overseeing Business Partnering
