Responsibilities
- Executing daily oil market analysis report.
- Conduct market research into emerging trends in the industry.
- Provide management with relevant and timely market information on current and future international oil price trends, international and regional supply-demand situations.
- Enhance trading tools to simplify the process.
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices.
- Operate TC vessels effectively, which involves scheduling to minimize ships’ downtime.
- Maintain and update files/database for trading & chartering market reports.
- Work closely with trading, risk management and operations teams.
- Any other duties as assigned by the management
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business or Economics with courses in energy, oil trading & chartering or refining
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in oil trading and chartering.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, counterparties and internal supporting functions.
- A proactive and responsible team player who has the ability to think, analyze and respond to different situations in an independent and rational manner.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High drive and strong commercial acumen
- Willing to work long hours as necessary.
