The Position holder is responsible for Procurement and functions as an Purchasing Specialist (Oil & Gas), and assists in the purchasing process of procuring materials/ services. The position reports to the Manufacturing Planning Manager. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Represent the Procurement function at the location. Support the purchasing process of procuring materials / services; seeking maximum value for the company including agreed time, cost and quality
- Liaison for PS-C and Plant (applicable to PS-P)
- Liaise with inbound logistics and vendors on shipment arrangement
- Supports activities for external purchasing and subcontracting at the Plant (applicable to PS-E)
- Supports critical quotation requests for Sales / Plant needs
- Reviews planned orders, request for requisitions for purchased items, and manages the approval process.
- Purchase materials and services that comply with the agreed upon specifications and requirement, as well as using contract/ standard pricing with suppliers.
- Identify new suppliers and develop their capabilities to meet Cameron’s requirements.
- Update and manage the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and work with the Supply chain support organization to achieve the requirement performance levels.
- Manage the performance of existing vendors on delivery, quality, price and service.
- Attend to vendors’ deviation request, handling of Non-Conformance Report and rework
- Work with finance and logistics in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies.
- Initiate global sourcing and procurement plans with a focus on strategic cost management across supply chain via supplier analysis, procurement planning, supply base management, supplier relationship management and supplier improvement projects
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent. 3 to 5 years working experience in Procurement
- 3 to 5 years working experience in Procurement
