IT Engineer
Job Scope:
· Set up cloud infrastructure for AWS or Azure
· Install and configure software and hardware for project testing.
· Liaise with customers to gather requirements.
· Produce design / test document in a project.
· Hardening windows and Linux system
· Manage network servers and technology tools
· Set up cluster server, VMware, and workstations
· Create and verify backups of data
· Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
· Respond to security or usability concerns immediately
· Troubleshoot issues and outages
· Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
· Upgrade systems with new releases and models
· Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
· Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
· Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
Requirement:
- Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with Windows Server, Group Policy, Virtualization, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Familiar with Terraform
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
