Job Position Purpose / Summary
Manage the accounting to reporting, taxation, risk management and treasury to provide the essential administrative financial services, including the development and maintenance of the appropriate processes and framework to preserve company assets and manage risk, and ensure the financial results are accurately reported to management, shareholders and appropriate external parties. Must be able to apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and to bring them to bear on a broad range of commercial issues.
Provide financial expertise and act as counsel to Business Leader regarding business strategy, managing company’s profit & loss and balance sheet including coordinating the business planning and forecasting activities.
Job Position Accountabilities / Expectations
Controllership
- Design, implement and maintain a strong “best practice” framework of internal controls ensuring the financial integrity of our financial condition and results.
- Design, implement and maintain world class financial control systems including but not limited to (i) all balance sheet accounts reconciled on a monthly basis in each entity, (ii) Periodic balance sheet reviews with the Finance Director (iii) Maintenance of an appropriate delegation of authority matrix.
- Along with internal controls, coordinate and manage the company’s statutory records and requirements, shareholder requirements and risk management program and ensure strong corporate governance.
- Direct and coordinate the preparation of financial reports and forecasts consistent with local accounting standards and shareholder requirements.
- Manage a 3rd party outsourced vendor for book-keeping and accounting if necesary.
- Manage the corporate accounting to reporting functions, to ensure the financial results are accurately reported to management, shareholders and appropriate external parties under IFRS, local GAAP and appropriate tax legislation.
- Preparation and finalization of monthly close activities and review of Balance sheet schedules
- Direct and manage the taxation accounting, planning, and reporting requirements consistent with local regulatory requirements, respective laws, and overall corporate objectives
- oordinate various audits including Statutory, Tax Audits, Internal Audits and preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation (if necessary).
- Direct and coordinate the management of the company’s Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to provide essential administrative support to all business units.
- Manage cash flows and working capital within the entities ensuring appropriate working capital.
- Direct and coordinate the management of short and long-term funds and associated risks of foreign exchange and interest risk exposure.
- Identify and make recommendations that optimize business processes and improve financial and other internal controls.
2. Business Partnership
- Use financial expertise and counsel to provide insightful analysis, commentary and bring balance regarding strategy, sales performance and actions, knowledge of business objectives and priorities. Act as counsel to Regional Business Leader regarding how best to manage country P/L.
- Work closely with Regional Business Head, Commercial and Sales Team for pricing, product costing and margin optimization plans in line with business objective.
- Act as a source of fiscal rigor and rationale in assessing strategic direction, sales commitments, rebate calculations and feasibility of sales activities.
- To coordinate the quarterly forecasts and the annual budget. To lead the review and analysis of the plan/forecast with relevant stakeholders.
- To analyse and provide explanation for major deviation from the Plan and Forecast.

Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required
- Qualified CA with 12-15 years’ experience in Finance & Accounts function, with 4-5 years in a regional role.
- Knowledge or prior experience with SAP S4 Hana, Oracel Netsuite BPC, and other systems as needed.
- Quality Management, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Statistical Analysis,Financial Skills, Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills,

- Exposure to the diverse geographies of SEA, Midder East, India sub continent
- Hands-on experience managing an outsourced vendor.
