The Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager, Controls will support the Senior Manager, Controls to provide the successful delivery of Building Controls support for all BMS systems and associated process systems. He/she will also be involved in project-coordination, testing and commissioning with the operation/maintenance team.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver and co-ordinate the continued consolidation, expansion, and ongoing upgrade of our extensive BMS which provides the control and automation of most of our ACMV/building services installations.
- Respond and troubleshoot issues/interruptions of facilities control systems
- Provide support for cost estimates and analysis of proposed projects
- Plan and executive preventive and corrective maintenance programs for facilities control systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability
- Identify and implement new developments for facilities control systems that address use cases
- Support to train and develop technicians
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Degree in Electrical/ Mechatronics or Mechanical
- 5 years of relevant experience in the BMS related field
- Results focused and effective delivery capability
- Able to manage programs of activity and to deliver key projects on time and to budget
- Good IT skills, and strong data collection skills
- Possess good team working and multi-tasking capabilities, team oriented with a strong focus on effective team dynamics
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and address root causes
- High standards for personal performance and show determination to meet goals
