Role Summary
The Procurement Excellence Manager is a regional role responsible for developing and implementing strategies/principles/practices/tools/processes across the procurement discipline to drive global transformation and ensure the function meets its commitments to the organization. By influencing at the platform level, this position drives actions that bring about improvements which may include, but are not limited to quality, delivery, growth and margin expansion. The role holder will work closely with the Platform Supply Chain Directors/Managers as well as with Shared Service Finance to drive a Procure-to-Pay (PTP) solution for Flowserve.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Champion cultural change across the Procurement discipline – lead with purpose, core values, and behaviours to promote and fully imbed a professional Procurement mindset within all employees across supply chain
- Together with the rest of the Procurement Excellence team, build relationships and lead with expert consultation, collaboration, and guidance, leading across platforms and functions with an enterprise mindset
- Own and deliver enterprise level programs aligned to the advancement of the procurement function, including but not limited to
- Procurement Optimization Initiatives
- Intercompany Procurement
- Inventory Optimization activities
- Site Supply Chain Maturity actions
- Supply Chain Systems Integration
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the procurement organization
- Provide functional leadership and peer group alignment, where appropriate and needed
- Apply ethical company standards
- Develop, deploy, and govern a Procurement Continuous Improvement Program
- Deliver a world class framework to drive procurement excellence across Flowserve
- Successful deployment of new systems and processes related to Procurement
- Improvement in all Procurement related KPIs
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Supply Chain / Procurement oriented roles
- Experience leading a team
- Manufacturing, Aerospace, Engineering, or related business experience
- Very good command on both commercial and technical areas of Supply Chain
- Very good commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Project Management
- Knowledge and good relationship of supply base in the region
- Understanding of market dynamics
- Geographically mobile for development opportunities
- Expertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP and sourcing tools like Ariba
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 8-10 years relevant experience
