JOB REQUIREMENTS:
You should have met the following criteria: –
- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent;
- Minimum 1 year experience in AP/AR;
- Familiarity with Xero (or similar software) and MS office; and
- Work experience in a shared services team is an advantage.

SCOPE OF WORK OF ROLE:
Together, the Finance Team is responsible for the accounting and payments aspects of Lyte Ventures’ operations across all the countries where Lyte Ventures has a local presence.
The scope of work of this role is to: -
- Prepare bank reconciliation;
- Prepare bank transactions for approval;
- Support the product team in operations including transaction checking, reconciliation, data entry, customer support;
- AP function which includes checking supplier invoices, recording and assisting in the payment process;
- AR function which includes invoicing and recording receipts;
- Sending statements to customers;
- Facilitating payments to customers;
- Responding to internal and external finance or customer queries;
- Assist with day-to-day operations; and
- Other ad-hoc assignments and duties.
This role will report to the Finance Manager (based in Singapore).
JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
Lyte Ventures’ Finance Team carries out the following duties: –
- Support business and product in operations for money flows, money management as well as maintaining banking infrastructure;
- Ensure monthly income and expenses are booked timely, balance sheet items are monitored closely through journals preparations;
- Perform month end close process, including the reconciliation and/or review of bank statements, fixed asset schedules, and other GL account reconciliations;
- Ensure monthly audit schedules are prepared to be ready for variances commentaries, headquarter enquiries, reporting, audit and tax purposes;
- Assist in statutory audit, tax reporting and ad-hoc special projects assigned from time to time;
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the accounting operations within the organisation;
- Perform monthly payroll process, including tax clearance for foreign employees and yearly tax return;
- Work with senior management and other departments to ensure proper accounting treatments of complex transactions;
- Assist in the implementation of internal controls and accounting processes and procedures; and
- Engagement with licensing authorities.
