Role& Responsibilities
- Work as the networking subject matter expert (SME) and station at customer site.
- Provide day to day support to customer’s network setup.
- Act as the networking escalation point and help the deployment team members on troubleshooting when necessary.
- Provide documentation of the network project.
- Provide knowledge transfer to customer IT staff after completing network deployment.
- Have good understanding of layer-2 switching including different flavors of spanning tree
- protocols, stacking, virtual chassis, LACP and static port-channel.
- Understand and be able to configure routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or 5 years equivalent experience is
- required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on network design and implementation.
- CCNP or equivalent level of certification is preferred.
- Hands-on experience of configuration and troubleshooting with layer-2 network protocols such
- as spanning-tree and LACP is required.
- Hands-on experience of configuration and troubleshooting with layer-3 network protocols such
- as static routing, OSPF and BGP is required.
- Hands-on experience with network switches and routers is required.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with Sonic OS is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple, often competing, priorities and tasks and follow through to
- completion on strict deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide
- range of end-users, including non-technical users.
- Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills.
- Technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
