Responsibilites:
- To report to the Project Team or WSH Officer.
- To assist the WSH Officer by acting as Assistant Secretary of WSH Committee.
- To assist the WSH Officer in overseeing WSHE at the workplace.
- Conduct daily inspection and act on unsafe acts / conditions with documentation recorded.
- Train and monitor workers’ work practices.
- To enforce the compliance of safety rules, regulations, precautions and standards.
- To assist in organising safety awareness activities such as Toolbox Meetings, safety orientation, safety promotional activities, site security matters, etc.
- To assist in investigation of all accidents and dangerous occurrence and develop preventative measures.
- To assist the WSH Officer during internal / external audit.
- In the absent of WSH Officer for the particular worksite, he shall resume the roles/responsibilities of WSH Officer.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a Diploma in any field is preferred;
- Possess WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B)
- At least 2 years of work experience relevant to the work to be carried out by a WSH Coordinator; and
- Possess knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act.
