The Director of Ad Solutions, Brand Direct is a highly visible and strategically important role at PubMatic APAC. We are looking for an individual whose digital media experience has given him or her a keen understanding of real-time bidding, a mastery of the full programmatic supply chain, and a network of advertiser and brand direct relationships.

Working out of the Singapore office, the Director of Ad Solutions, Brand Direct will be tasked with engaging contacts at major Advertisers and Brands, challenging their current assumptions, selling in new partnership ideas and increasing investment opportunities on PubMatic. This is a highly visible and strategically important role for PubMatic in APAC. We are looking for an individual whose experience has given him or her a keen understanding of changing advertiser behaviour and how that affects media buying strategies. Successfully doing so requires a strategic, collaborative thinker who can bring in other PubMatic executives across the APAC markets and subject-matter experts as needed.

Areas of focus will include strategy definition, assisting local in-market teams to close large advertiser partnerships, provide deep internal expertise as a subject matter expert on advertiser trends and external evangelization at key events. The role reports into the VP Ad Solutions, APAC.

The relevant person enjoys networking at industry functions, staying current on the latest programmatic trends, and proactively seeking out knowledge specific to the inner-workings of PubMatic’s technology. The role requires the person to have a strong sales mindset, an ability to think creatively and collaborate with others in executing long-term, complex deals.

The ideal candidate has experience at a Brand, Agency, AdTech platform, DSP or SSP and deep relationships within the industry

Responsibilities:

•This position will require frequent and meaningful interaction across peers in other offices/ functions and PubMatic’s leadership team. To be a leader in this environment will require the ability to quickly connect the dots between all functions and possess a deep understanding of PubMatic’s technology, service offerings, and capabilities.

•Work with the APAC leadership team to formulate brand direct strategy, define opportunity and achieve business goals

•Understand regional market needs with a focus on Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore & Japan

•Position PubMatic as the preferred supply source amongst the key advertisers and brands by developing a deep understanding of their buying requirements and priorities to ensure we meet their needs

•Collaborate with the marketing team to evangelize PubMatic’s offering through appearances at industry events and crafting thought leadership pieces for the trade press

•Contribute to and execute the global sales strategy across advertisers and brands

•Instal a culture of collaboration and accountability

•Facilitating in the roll-out of global SPO deals in APAC markets and ensuring that we are seeing an increase in investments

•Help activate go to market strategic approaches for new products across target clients

•Engage with senior level demand leads across APAC to help define sales strategy with respect to engaging with direct advertisers and brands

•Assist supply function in garnering views from advertiser and brands

•Develop a sales strategy & execute for advertiser and brands

Travel as necessary in support of business objectives (prospect/client meetings, conferences, internal meetings)

Qualifications:

•10+ years of related experience in sales, business development, and/or product within an advertising technology company

•Deep understanding of the ecosystem from the advertiser and brand perspective in Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and Japan

•Established relationships across key advertisers and brands in APAC

•Growth mindset: willing to take risks, ask questions

•Solution leadership: able to shape the roadmap of features requested by clients and lead discussion in relationship with our Product Management and R&D team

•Understand the dynamics of the sell-side, most notably operations of supply side platforms and ad serving tech

•Clear communicator and service-oriented leader

•Ability to present effectively to C-level executives and confidently navigate challenges

•Ultra-high EQ & high level of self-awareness
