Job Description and Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of WSH Officer.
- Perform the duties of ECO, if have the necessary certificate.
- Ensure implementation of EHS legal requirements.
- Promote safe practices at the various job sites.
- Implements and monitors appropriate safety measurements conducts weekly inspections at various sites and takes appropriate corrective actions in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Subsidiary Legislations.
- Enforces all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations.
- Compiles all relevant reports and records and carries out a daily safety inspection.
- Follow-up report after MOM inspection and submission to MOM.
- Develop and monitor the company's safety program and policies.
- Conduct monthly safety briefings to all Subcontractors.
- Conduct Bi-monthly safety meetings with all employees to update the latest government guidelines and safety statistics and sharing of recent safety incidents evidence (MOM, ENV).
- Establish and communicate Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) deliverables and training.
- Conduct risk analysis and EHS assessment.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
- Any ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a WSH Officer cum ECO in the construction industry.
- Must be a registered WSH Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.
- Registered as ECO is an advantage.
- Familiar with safety documentation and audits.
- Independent and able to work in a team.
