About our client: Our client provides expertise across three distinct segments in the Oil & Gas industry: subsea, onshore/ offshore, and surface projects.
About the role: Reporting to the Eastern Hemisphere Network Manager & Global UC Service Manager.
- Ensures proper delivery of services within scope to the clients.
- Evaluate new or innovative technologies and architectures within our network.
- Help define network design for regional sites.
- Keep network documentation for sites updated.
- Manage network changes/projects within regional scope.
- Manage Network device version upgrades.
- Produce reports, proposals, technical documentation, and user guides as required and ensure other team members are fully trained in the procedures.
- Resolution of service desk requests as necessary.
- Riverbed management and troubleshooting where applicable.
- Troubleshooting major network and performance incidents.
- Troubleshooting network incidents within regional scope.
- Any other duties prescribed by the Eastern Hemisphere Network Manager, Global UC Service Manager or their nominate.
The Services in the scope are:
- All Network topics with a primary focus on the APAC and Global Fleet.
- All services in the Unified Communications portfolio.
- Network special projects for all sites globally, when requested and agreed/approved by:
- Eastern Hemisphere Network Manager.
- Global UC Service Manager.
- Head – Global Build Operations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or Equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in support & implementation role on supporting large heterogeneous enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience with ITIL methodology or structured IT best practice framework.
- Experience in working with onshore networks and networks for remote sites and offshore installations. Flexible attitude to working hours.
- Initiative and ability to multitask with multiple projects and work independently if necessary.
- Strong or excellent communication skills in English.
- Cisco certified level of CCNA.
- Experience with PowerShell.
- Experienced in creating and completing low-level documentation from high-level designs and taking this through to completion.
- 24*7 support.
- Able to work and contribute to a team environment. Able to work in an on-call rota
