IT Security Tools Operation and Maintenance Engineer
How you'll shape our client's critical security posture:
- Overseeing the daily operations of IT Security Tools - including firewalls, IDS, EDR, SWG, DLP, Mail Gate and more.
- Assessing the health of IT Security tools - reporting issues or anomalies and ensuring seamless functionality.
- Maintaining IT Security Tools - conducting patches, updates and upgrades to ensure all tools are up-to-date with latest security patches.
- Collaborate with both IT and security teams to define and implement security tool configurations, policies and rules in line with the organization's security requirements.
- Routinely assess IT Security tools to verify their compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Evaluate, recommend, test and implement new IT Security Tools to harden the overall security posture.
- Guide end-users and other IT teams to effectively use and maintain IT Security Tools.
- Respond to security incidents and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Implement appropriate countermeasures to the latest security threats Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate countermeasures.
- Work a flexible 5-day week, occasionally including weekend and holiday shifts depending on the needs of the operation work
What you'll bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Security
- 3 years of experience working with IT Security Tools
- IT security operations experience, with a focus on security tools administration and maintenance.
- Knowledge of security tools, technologies, and industry best practices, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, vulnerability scanners, and related tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
What will make you stand out:
- CISSP, CISA, CIW certification
- Familiarity with network and system security concepts and tech, Windows and Linux system security, App security, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Programming ability
- Pentest / Red Teaming ability
