Head of Supply Chain Management
As the Head of Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production planning, logistics, and quality assurance, to establish and execute strategies that maximize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute Supply Chain strategy for Durapower's international market to achieve organizational goals.
· Establish and implement supply chain processes, policies, and resources for purchasing, logistics, and inventory management.
· Identify and assess risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities in the supply chain to enhance its resilience and agility.
· Continuously monitor industry trends, country-specific regulatory requirements (EU Regulation, Battery Passport, Carbon Footprint) and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
· Develop a roadmap for data collection, monitoring, and trends forecasting to provide management with an overview of operations. Vendor selection and qualification which then can be integrated into supply chain management to ensure the identification and evaluation of reliable suppliers who can meet organizational requirements effectively.
· Analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes, terms and conditions, review total cost of ownership, and prepare a price comparison list for negotiations and award.
· Negotiate with vendors/subcontractors to ensure purchase prices are below the project budget. Coordinate with the head office to issue purchase orders, including shipping instructions if necessary.
· Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, components, finished goods and Incoterms.
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements for the transportation, handling, and storage of lithium-ion batteries. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain function and regularly report on performance against targets.
Competency Requirement
· Possess a Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar work scopes.
· Prior experience in setting up a supply chain function and knowledge of resilient, sustainable, circular economy is a strong advantage.
· The candidate must possess strong planning, negotiation, and analysis skills.
· Committed to completing tasks on time, able to work independently, take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
· Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing supply chain teams.
· Self-motivated, open-minded, and driven to challenge the status quo and pursue continuous improvement.
· Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
