An exciting and new opportunity has opened up to join our Asia Pacific Bloomberg Product Oversight (BPO) team. Our team dives deep into the very roots of our clients' workflow to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business. We align our clients' workflow and data consumption with the appropriate contractual framework and Bloomberg offering, protecting both our clients and our organization. Using both a consultative and analytical approach, we examine client data workflows, content licensing frameworks, and strategic initiatives working closely across all internal lines of business. With such close proximity to our clients, we're at the forefront of being able to understand business and product gaps, providing these insights to our management to better improve our offerings. What's the Role?
While managing a team of Workflow Specialists, you will lead by example by conducting detailed client conversations and reviews while ensuring the team is operating at your standards or above. You will be analyzing existing client profiles, in particular Desktop API usage, to understand client's workflow and ensure suitable use of our product offerings, while also mitigating business risks. Your responsibilities will include hiring and onboarding candidates for this team to ensure that we are meeting client gold standard. You will be a player coach, being responsible for mentoring and developing the team to ensure they are gaining valuable skills and insights for their continued career development. Monthly performance reporting and presenting trends/findings to Management is encouraged. A high degree of diplomacy and the ability to engage with a wide variety of individuals in a transparent manner is required, including but not limited to end-users, senior market data managers, C-level executives as well as internal partners.
You'll need to have:
- Prior experience in team building, leadership, or in mentorship and development of others
- Prior experience in efficiently implementing new processes and leading organizational change initiatives
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the financial services workflow across front, middle, and back offices as well as multiple asset classes
- Demonstrated ability to interact cross-functionally with all levels of executive management
- Knowledge of Bloomberg products including the Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise solutions
- Ability to analyze large data co-mingled sets from multiple sources including SDSK, SIDI, USRC, etc.
- Deep understanding of Bloomberg's internal functions (SDSK, PROS, UUID, SIDR, OSRC, etc.)
- A familiarity with data content and licensing frameworks
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Proven business insight in a client-facing capacity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft office suite
