As a content creator at SAL, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the Academy’s strategic communications plan. You will be tasked to create compelling content across various mediums to drive engagement with key stakeholders. This role involves writing high-quality articles and creating videos, conducting interviews, and developing visually appealing graphics that complement other content forms. Additionally, you will design content for electronic direct mails (eDMs) and SAL's weekly internal newsletter, keeping SAL members and staff informed about events and updates.


Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality content, including articles and videos that align with SAL’s strategic communications plan and increase engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Plan, film and edit video content that is engaging and informative.
  • Build relationships with SAL members and conduct interviews to support the above.
  • Develop visually appealing and informative graphics and visual assets that complement other forms of content.
  • Design and produce content for electronic direct mails (eDMs) and social media to inform SAL's members and stakeholders about events and updates.
  • Contribute to the production of SAL's annual report by creating content including written reports, graphics, and visuals, to communicate SAL's achievements and activities to stakeholders.
  • Design and produce content for SAL’s weekly internal newsletter.
  • Stay updated on legal industry trends, news, and developments to produce relevant and timely content.
  • Work closely with other teams, such as marketing, events, and legal research, to align content creation with SAL's initiatives and campaigns.
  • Manage the procurement process related for the team, including sourcing necessary equipment, services, and materials.
  • Coordinate and facilitate corporate visits to SAL, ensuring a smooth and informative experience for visitors while capturing and documenting key moments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in journalism/content creation.
  • Proven experience in content creation, writing, video production, and graphic design
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) are advantageous.
  • Familiar with various social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Creativity and a passion for storytelling
