We are looking for an experienced Senior / Procurement Engineer (Electronics) to join Leica Geosystems, a part of Hexagon AB that provides innovative solutions for the Surveying, Buildings, and Heavy Construction industries.
The Senior / Procurement Engineer (Electronics) oversees and drives the best cost and quality for the electronics commodity (annual purchase value of EUR 10million) and other commodities under his/her care.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Management
- Accountable for supplier selection and strategies alliance
- Develop and manage relationship with all key suppliers
- Conduct regular review on supplier’s quality and cost reduction target
- Develop and implement vendor managed inventory program
- Liaise with suppliers on all quality issues
Product transfer and new product introduction
- Lead procurement activities in product transfer and new product introduction
Continuous improvement
- Liaise with suppliers on quality improvement program
- Drive continuous process improvement by measuring and analysing suppliers and process efficiency
Procurement cost reduction
- Develop and implement cost reduction activities
Disposal of non-conforming or suspected non-conforming materials
- Liaise with the necessary internal and external parties on the disposal of non-conforming materials
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Electronics Engineering is a must-have
- Minimum 5 Years’ work experience in Engineering and Sourcing
- Minimum 5 Years’ work experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 Years' work experience in Electronics industry
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
- Have experience in leading new product introduction
- SAP R/3 or HANA
