Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Inspection and Diagnostics:
Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or other issues.
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to pinpoint problems in engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle systems.
Repair and Maintenance:
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing worn or damaged parts, changing oil and filters, and conducting tune-ups.
Repair or replace components like engines, transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, and electrical systems.
Troubleshooting:
Analyze complex vehicle issues and develop solutions to resolve them.
Test and troubleshoot vehicle components to identify the root cause of problems.
Computerized Systems:
Work with computerized diagnostic equipment and software to diagnose and repair modern vehicles with advanced electronic systems.
Safety Checks:
Ensure vehicles meet safety standards by inspecting and repairing safety features like airbags, anti-lock brakes, and traction control systems.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and services provided for each vehicle.
Provide clear explanations of diagnoses and repair recommendations to customers.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers to explain repair options, provide cost estimates, and answer questions.
Address customer concerns and provide excellent service to build trust and repeat business.
Parts Management:
Order, receive, and manage automotive parts and materials needed for repairs.
Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality control checks to ensure that repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries in the workshop.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
- Basic Computer skills. (Microsoft word, excel and power point)
- Technical documentation skills
- Capable to learn technologies he/she has never learned
- Driver license and safety driving skill
- Able to work independently
- Willing to work as a group via sharing ideas and solutions
- Shall require to work including days when the installers/workshops are operational.
