Job Responsibilities
· Perform roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act
· Supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control
· Check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans for discrepancies
· Check on quality of works, materials and samples delivered to site
· Check mock-ups done on site and off site
· Ensure that the required construction tests in connection with the construction works are carried out
· Ensure all construction works will not impact or affect the operations
· Ensure emergency preparedness protocols are adhered during trial runs or actual emergencies;
· Prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified;
· Supervise works to comply with statutory requirements and specifications:
· Ensure that the structural elements or critical works of the construction works are being carried out in accordance with the approved plans
· Attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings
Requirements
· The RTO-Geo shall have minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least five (5) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to the C&S and geotechnical works
The RTO-Geo shall have experience in supervising and installation of monitoring instruments, collating of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation
· The RTO-Geo shall possess a Diploma in the Civil / Structural / Geotechnical discipline from a Polytechnic or equivalent;
