Manufacturing Manager (Aviation / Aerospace)

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of assistant managers and engineers to establish production processes, workflows, and workplace safety measures, optimizing factory resources to meet customer delivery requirements as per scheduled timelines and agreed-upon quality standards.
  • Spearhead efforts to enhance productivity within the team.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set production and performance benchmarks, develop budgets and cost controls, and gather data on product types, quantities, specifications, and deliveries to effectively manage departmental operations.
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering standards, maintenance manuals, and specifications to determine assembly, testing, quality, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist in the development of new projects, contributing to the creation of Repair Specifications, PMAs, and new assembly/test/inspection processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with Regulatory and OEM guidelines.
  • Coordinate facility repairs for both buildings and manufacturing and shipping equipment.
  • Aid manufacturing and sales personnel in understanding technical information, testing procedures, and shop capabilities.
  • Create training materials and conduct on-the-job training; maintain personnel training records.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Director to understand and implement Regulatory Compliance Requirements such as FAA, EASA, CASE, and interfaces with FAA Manufacturing/Flight Safety/Aircraft Certification offices, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Plan and oversee departmental activities by establishing priorities and operational sequences for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of all customer orders and compliance with their requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in aviation / medical / automotive or related industry preferred
