Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible and accountable to the vessel owner in coordinating and monitoring any newbuilding projects within MEO and/or its Joint Venture domain
• Manage the Newbuilding / Conversion and project management development phase with the PMT, designer / consultant, flag authority / Classification / and provide constructive advice
• Assist in development of vessel newbuild/ conversion budget for management
• Coodinate and follow up with shipyard/ designer/ consultant for the “As Fitted Drawings, Class Approval and Documentations”.
• Prepare newbuilding vessel delivery in coordination with the Vessel Owner
• Ensure that all projects and newbuilds are on time, on budget with good quality outcome with proper records maintained and submitted to Vessel Owners upon completion
• Ensure strict adherence to the Newbuilding and Engineering procedures
• Involved in the Research and Development of newbuildings and/or conversion and constantly provide updates on cost effective solutions for Management
• Prepare, install, maintain and provide trainings to crews for Stability Calculator on board (Crew Boats & OSV)
• Attend to vessel Sea trials, drydocking, repairs and surveys when required
• Travel overseas at short notices to attend to newbuilding/projects inspections/meetings or survey when necessary
• Keep COO advised on developments of newbuilding or any other projects progress
Job Requirements:
• Chief Engineer ticket with more than 5 years of sailing experience or equivalent in (shore / offshore ship management environment exposure)
• Knowledge of crewboats / Workboats / AHT / AHTS and barges operations and designs.
• Minimum 5 years of OSV and crewboats management experience
