Senior Vulnerability Management Specialist

Our client, a leading financial institution within the region, is looking for a Senior Vulnerability Specialist with a strong understanding of the threat landscape to join their team here in Singapore. The Senior Vulnerability Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust operational models for vulnerability management within the financial services sector, ensuring the highest level of security and resilience against evolving cyber threats.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of vulnerability management professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive vulnerability assessment and penetration testing programs to identify and prioritize security weaknesses.
  • Analyze and assess the impact of vulnerabilities, leveraging risk-based methodologies to prioritize remediation efforts and minimize exposure to cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and security, to facilitate timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices to inform proactive defense strategies and mitigate potential risks.
  • Implement and maintain vulnerability management tools, processes, and procedures to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance and impact of vulnerability management initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders on the state of vulnerability risk within the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the vulnerability management team, leveraging automation and technology to streamline processes and enhance capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to vulnerability management and security practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on vulnerability management, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong technical expertise in vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies, such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing vulnerability management programs within the banking or financial services industry.
  • In-depth understanding of common security vulnerabilities, exploit techniques, and attack vectors.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
