Curious Thoughts Giving is the only non-profit charitable organization in Singapore that provides free quality literacy classes to children from less privileged backgrounds. We believe in empowering children from all walks of life with an equal and transparent access to quality education. All beneficiaries do not have to pay for our classes and no student will be denied admission.
We are looking for individuals who are dedicated and passionate in working with children, community partners, volunteers and other stakeholders to promote literacy in Singapore.
Working Hours:
Normal hours of work, unless otherwise notified to you, is as follows:
- Weekdays: 09:00 am to 06:00 pm, with 1 hour of unpaid break
- You might have to work on some Saturdays if there are charity events. There will be off-in-lieu given for these events.
The Company reserves the right at any time to vary your normal working hours, as necessary. You may be required to work beyond the normal working hours to discharge your duties at the sole discretion of the Company.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Programme Executive at Curious Thoughts Giving, the responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Programme planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Develop and execute sustainable fund-raising and sponsorship strategy and portfolio towards the achievement of charity objectives;
- Plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate programmes;
- Oversee the smooth running of sessions;
- Plan and execute curriculum and individual sessions; and
- Monitor and evaluate sessions in-line with session and programme goals.
Partnerships with stakeholders
- Develop and implement an engagement framework with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication;
- Secure new value-adding partnerships that enhance the brand value of the charity and retain current ones;
- Build rapport with key stakeholders to drive sponsorship initiatives to ensure smooth execution, accumulating goodwill for charity; and
- Build positive and close working relationships with Social Services Agencies such as Family Service Centres, Children’s Homes and other non-profit organisations.
Volunteer Management
- Manage volunteers for our CuriousTime and StoryTime programmes; and
- Establish open communication and positive relationship with volunteers.
Administrative
- Attend to enquiries, maintain proper records and prepare reports;
- Maintain volunteer and students database;
- Mark attendance of volunteers and students;
- Prepare programme logistics; and
- Strong team player who provides any other ad-hoc support whenever needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma (preferably in Social Worker or Social Sciences).
- Passionate about working with children and families.
- Service-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills,
- Proficient in English and Mandarin/ Malay.
- Team player and adaptable to changes.
- Able to work on weekdays Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Fresh graduate
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $2,300.00 - $2,500.00 per month
