The Assistant Project Manager is the Head of Project/ Engineering Section. He reports to the Senior Project/ Engineering Manager.
Responsibility:
- Leads the Project & Engineering team with work tasks
- Is responsible for project schedule plan
- Monitors engineering and production activities which include engineering documents, technical manuals, certification, FAT.
- Understands all work procedures and methods.
- Provide regular feedback and project status to HOD.
- Knowledgeably and capably demonstrates and works within and between teams.
- Manages the team process with great skills.
- Is prepared to learn new technical skills and to guide others.
- Ensures that engineering design and project management are being planned in accordance with the customer's specifications.
- Participate in standardisation of product/system design, installation, testing procedure, where applicable.
- Maintains a system for decision making within project team whereby decisions are made at the proper level.
- Use a determined project performance index and evaluates the performance upon project completion.
- Manages outstanding issues and report to HOD.
- Always reminds team members on safety issues.
- Ensures that non-conformity report is being raised as and when necessary.
- Ensures that non-conformances are promptly resolved by means of investigation and corrective action.
- Recommends and implements quality procedures and work instructions.
- Monitors budget control and introduces project cost-saving measures.
