Enterprise Architect (Commodities) - 6 months renewable contract
We are looking for an experienced Architect, to work in the Move and Sell (Commercial) portfolio, across Commercial Digital, Sales and Marketing, Shipping and Logistics. This role will focus primarily on program-level architecture, helping to guide and deliver solutions aligned to our commercial organization business needs, and our enterprise architecture strategy. As a core member of the agile delivery team, this role will ensure the “right technology” is selected for the right business outcomes; to reduce complexity, increase organizational agility and drive competitive advantage in this space.

Reporting to the Manager Strategy & Architecture (APAC W), and working in challenging and exciting environment within our global Enterprise Architecture Team, you will:
- Work as an embedded member of the Commercial Digital Team Agile Release Train team
- Provide actionable advice regarding alignment between products / solutions and applicable business / IS&T strategies
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial team and related stakeholders, to develop and maintain a strategic vision / roadmap for the domain
- Define and enforce architecture principles and standards through active participation in Architecture Review and Agile Development processes
- Provide Enterprise Architecture review of design documentation and target state architectures
- Assist in the development and assessment of solution architectures that contribute to the strategic intent of the Commercial Digital team
- Publish points of view, position papers and guidance notes that clarify architecture gaps, risks and opportunities
- Act as a trusted advisor, strengthening relationships with business partners, enterprise architecture and delivery teams, to maintain business value / technology alignment
- Identify opportunities within our technology landscape, to improve cost-efficiency, value delivery, risk management and user experience
What you’ll bring

- Architecture experience in at least one of the following IT disciplines (Applications, Integration, Network, Data, Infrastructure, Cloud and operations) in a large corporate or equivalent consulting environment
- Proven experience in a variety of Information Technology (IT) roles focused on delivery, operational excellence, engineering and/or architecture.
- Demonstrated experience influencing key decision makers in a large, cross-functional team setting.
- High emotional IQ, and ability to quickly shift to/from technical and business discussions at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to balance long-term ("big-picture") and short-term implications of architecture decisions
- Previous experience with delivering strategy, roadmaps, reference architecture and standards; experience in development of business cases.
- Direct experience in solution architecture roles and experience with TOGAF or equivalent methodology and tools is highly preferable.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Demonstrated experience with Commercial, Marketing and/or Sales related technology (Applications, Data and/or Infrastructure)
- Familiarity with S&OP, Marine/Logistics and/or end-to-end supply chain optimization.
- Familiarity with trading and/or financial services line of business.
- “End to End” architecture experience within a Mining or Resources organisation
