With expansion plans, they are looking to hire an IT Infrastructure Specialist who will be responsible for delivering IT infrastructure solutions and services which supports business growth across the region.
about the role
- Take the lead in planning, designing, architecting, implementing, and continuously improving IT infrastructure solutions and services, covering areas such as data centers, servers, storage, virtualization, security, and backup & monitoring. This includes assessing and incorporating new technologies in line with business objectives and priorities, ensuring consistency, comprehensiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute enterprise-grade IT infrastructure strategies and initiatives, focusing on standardization, optimization, and harmonized operational models throughout the region.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance IT infrastructure solutions and services, adhering to defined standards and processes to enhance availability, stability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Work in tandem with the IT infrastructure team to establish efficient measurement, monitoring, and administration mechanisms using a centralized delivery model, thereby reducing reliance on external vendors and fostering internal competency development.
- Evaluate proposed system changes to determine alignment with business objectives and assess their implications, including benefits, costs, and implementation efforts. Collaborate with IT stakeholders, super users, and vendor teams as necessary.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and tools in the IT infrastructure landscape through continuous research and exploration.
- Foster in-house expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer to the IT team on infrastructure methodologies and processes.
skills and requirements needed
- Minmally Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimally 5 years of working experience in implementing, administering, and supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure, encompassing Microsoft Active Directory, Office365/Azure cloud, DNS/DHCP servers, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWARE), storage solutions (e.g., EMC), backup systems (e.g., VEEAM/EMC Data Domain), networking, firewall, and end-user computing security.
- Proficient understanding of IT policies, procedures, and experience in developing and deploying standards, coupled with a proactive approach to ensuring a secure IT environment that supports operational requirements.
- Extensive experience in IT infrastructure architecture roles, leading IT initiatives, and managing complex infrastructure environments within large enterprises, with advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in IT infrastructure service delivery management, possessing comprehensive knowledge of unified log management systems (e.g., SIEM/Azure Sentinel), IT infrastructure monitoring systems, and IT security management across servers, Azure Cloud, and end-user computing.
- Strong service orientation, self-motivated, adaptable to flexible working hours, and willingness to travel regionally as needed.
