The team member will strategically lead and enhance volunteer initiatives, cultivate community partnerships, and foster inclusive engagement, thereby playing a pivotal role in advancing the organisation's mission to create a positive and sustainable impact within the community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to recruit and retain a diverse pool of volunteers aligned with organisational needs
- Implement effective training programs to increase volunteers' skills and capabilities
- Implement recognition and engagement programmes for sponsors and volunteers
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit
- Oversee the planning and execution of community events and outreach activities to maximise engagement and impact
- Perform strategic decision-making analysis of volunteer and community engagement data and provide regular reports, leading to the implementation of data-driven initiatives
- Manage and forecast the divisional budget
- Manage and provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to the volunteer management and community engagement team
- Lead the Divisional events and contribute to SINDA-wide events when required
- To perform other adhoc duties assigned
Requirements:
- A Degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in people management, stakeholder management, strategic work, resource management and/or project management.
- Experience in volunteer management like recruiting, training, supervising, and engaging the volunteers or volunteering experience in the social service sector is an added advantage
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and data analytics tools like Power BI. Analyse data and prepare Dashboards to support management decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
- Resourceful, able to work independently and in a team with volunteers & community leaders
This is a 2-year contract position, convertible to a permanent role, subject to the performance and divisional requirements.
